Dr. Ellen Mahoney grew up locally and has strong family ties to the community. She is committed to providing exceptional primary care to the children or Wayland and surrounding towns. She truly enjoys the time she spends with patients of all ages and loves the privilege of getting to know families as they grow and change.

Dr. Mahoney is a board certified pediatrician. She received her medical degree at the University of Massachusetts and did her pediatric training at Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island through Brown University. She is a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Mahoney has spent the past four years in a local practice where she has become familiar with the Boston area medical system and resources.

Dr. Mahoney lives with her husband and daughters in Needham and spends her free time hiking, running or skiing. She is excited to be a part of Wayland Pediatrics and is happily accepting pediatric and adolescent patients.



Dr. Maya Dor joined Wayland Pediatrics in July 2015, shortly after completing her pediatric training at UMass Memorial Children’s Medical Center in Worcester, MA. Dr. Dor is a board certified pediatrician. She returned to Massachusetts for her pediatric training after receiving her medical degree from the University Of New England College Of Osteopathic Medicine in Maine. She grew up locally and has enjoyed serving children and families as a primary care pediatrician in the community.

She is a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society and of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Dor enjoys taking care of children of all ages, and has special interests in newborn and adolescent medicine, as well as in nutrition. Outside of pediatrics she enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with her daughter and husband. Dr. Dor is accepting new pediatric and adolescent patients.


Dr. Allison Flynn, Psy.D. is a Clinical Psychologist with a specialization in child, adolescent, and family therapy. She completed her APA Internship at Franciscan Hospital for Children, CBAT unit. For the past six years, she has worked at a therapeutic school in Boston for children and adolescents with significant social-emotional needs and challenges. She also has worked in private practice conducting family, parenting, and couples counseling.

Dr. Flynn is very excited to join Wayland Pediatrics, working as part of the health care team. She will conduct initial consultations for those patients who are experiencing challenges managing difficult emotions, feelings and behaviors. Ongoing care can include social-emotional assessments, working on developing tools and strategies pulled from evidence-based practice and assistance with specific referrals within the community when long term therapy is indicated. She looks forward to working with parents in regards to behavior coaching and improving communication and family dynamics. Dr. Flynn hopes to be able to organize specialized groups to address relevant therapeutic topics or skills that would benefit the patients and families of Wayland Pediatrics.

Nancy Crowley, cPNP: Nancy is a pediatric nurse practitioner with more thank 20 years of experience. She is an Arlington native and has worked around the Boston area as a nurse and nurse practitioner. She came to us from a practice in Wellesley and has been joined by many patients who adore her. She has special interest in asthma management, childhood development and behavior. Nancy lives in Waltham with her husband and 4 children.









Dr. Karen Back: As of January 2015 Dr Back has retired from Wayland Pediatrics.
