Behavioral Health and Support Groups: Our behavioral health provider, Katie Warner is hoping to start two parent groups (virtually) in the coming months. One group would be for parents of newborns, and the other for parents of middle school children. Each group would consist of about 4-6 meetings with specific topics to give information and and opportunity to speak with other parents and a mental health professional about the challenges and joys of parenting these age groups. Please contact the office over email if you have interest - let us know times that might work for you.

Ch-ch-changes: We wanted to inform our families about some changes in the office. After 3 and 4 years, Emily and Michelle have decided to move on from Wayland Pediatrics. Emily will be starting her career in early childhood education and Michelle will be moving due to her upcoming marriage. We will miss them both and hope you will join us in wishing them well.

You may see new faces and hear new voices on the phone as we recruit and hire. Please be patient with those who are learning and those of us who are still steering the ship

COVID 19 policies and procedures

For the safety of our patients, families, providers and staff, please adhere to the following safety guidelines when visiting Wayland Pediatrics:
Every person entering the building must wear a mask (aside from babies)
Only one caregiver should enter the building with a child.
If you have symptoms which could be compatible with COVID19, please do not enter the building. Call the front desk to plan an alternative means of evaluation.

COVID19 vaccine update (5/12/2021)
The FDA has approved the Emergency Use Authorization for the Pfizer COVID19 vaccine to be given to individuals 12 years of age and older. We are thrilled that more children are eligible for protection and encourage families to vaccinate their adolescent children!

At this time, we do not have information about when or if we will be able to store and administer this vaccine at our practice. We encourage families to book appointments now for eligible children and send us vaccine records when the series is complete to keep our records updated. (Please send records through MyCHart as this is secure and HIPAA compliant). We will post updates or changes here, especially if we learn that we will have the ability to administer COVID 19 vaccines here or that our patients can be seen at a central pediatric-specific location.
Stay well!
